Adding listings can be a time consuming process if your pictures have a large file size. Lux Marine recommends that you resize your images to 800 x 600 pixels prior to adding them to the site.
Why should I resize my pictures?
Because resizing your pictures could save you 10 - 15 minutes per listing!
A typical image taken directly from a digital camera is approximately 2 MegaBytes. When adding a boat or jet ski to Lux Marine you can add up to 5 pictures with your listing. So you could be trying to upload as much as 10 MegaBytes per listing. On an average broadband connection that would take 15 minutes.
If you resize your pictures to the recommended 800 x 600 pixels, each picture will be approximately 100 KiloBytes (1/20th the size of the original picture). Adding a listing with pictures resized, should take 1-2 minutes on a broadband connection and approximately 5-10 minutes on a slow dial up connection.
